Shirley's Presentation

What was the best thing about her project?
What one suggestion would you give her for improvement?
What was the best lesson/component in the unit and why?

Although not everyone got a chance to see it, I think your Google Earth Introduction was a very nice hook for your lesson.

My only advice would be to dare to be different. It's okay if everything doesn't work perfectly, the only way we learn is if we mess up occasionally.

The use of the Showing Evidence Tool is a perfect fit for your unit and my favorite part.

You are obviously a very conscientious teacher Shirley. it's clear from the week that you enjoy this topic. I like your Intel project idea; I bet you'll get some good conversation that day!
I would have liked to have seen some of your work on the smartboard.

You have done a very thorough job with your unit!!! I really liked the final project you used as a tool for assessment. I liked the idea of connecting people from different parts of the world with the google earth. As difficult as this has been for us I am certain our computer skills have improved.
You will probably become the top techy in your grade level as you continue to explore and produce.

Excellent introduction on why knowledge of government is important. Discussed various tools that will assist students. Show work on Smartboard next time. You are a very caring teacher who is concerned about the success of your students.

Shirley is no doubt a great teacher. Her love of Social Studies/History really made me reflect to my 7th grade history teacher who I think is one of the best.

Could have use more excitment in her presentation.
